MESSAGE FROM
PREZ PATTY
This week our newest member, Steve Ohlfest, will present a program on tiny houses. He speaks from experience, as an owner of one such tiny house in Englewood.
From Wikipedia: "The tiny-house movement (also known as the small house movement) is an architectural and social movement that advocates for downsizing living spaces, simplifying, and essentially 'living with less '." Steve can tell us more, but in general we're talking less than 400 square feet.
(I think Bob and I have an attic -- full of "stuff" -- that size. Not to mention the rest of our 400++++square feet. I'm hoping for inspiration to discharge some of that "stuff.")
So y'all come to hear this fascinating program.
Other big news is that we've scheduled our end-of-year/start-of-year party, and it's at Shawn's house! This will be Friday, July 1, 6 to 8 p.m. at 3000 S. Marion, Englewood. Please send RSVPs to Patty: paburnett@aol.com. Spouses and partners invited!
You'll want to book this in your calendar right away, and note that we will have no happy hour this month and no meeting on June 29.
Next week Shawn will lead us in a visioning exercise that will clarify our interests and planning for the club in the next Rotary year. We need strong attendance for this meeting, please. Bring your brains.
See you tomorrow. Lunch is a fajitas feast!
