It's all about mental health
Rotarians and friends, we have two special presenters tomorrow -- Chuck Everill and Diane Messamore. They are longtime Rotarians in our district who have been key developers of a district-wide initiative on mental health.
They will be telling us about the new status of their work and what our opportunities might be within it.
Already some mover-and-shaker clubs are very involved: Boulder, Boulder Valley, Boulder Flatirons, Commerce City, Denver Cherry Creek, Denver Mile High, Denver Southeast, Westminster 7:10 and Wheat Ridge.
There are many reasons that so many clubs have connected. Colorado's mental health system is grossly underfunded. There remains a stigma to seeking help.
As a psychotherapist, I try to help one client at a time on a pro bono basis. Right now, that person is someone whose income just edged her above Medicaid eligibility. Her new insurance has a deductible she is unlikely to meet. Like so many people in our state, she really can't afford to seek the help she needs.
Please join me in looking forward to hearing how Rotarians can improve the state of the state of mental health in Colorado.

Volunteers needed for the Great Egg Scramble
As a member of United Service Clubs of Englewood, we are participating in an egg hunt for kiddos. It will be Saturday, March 24 in Belleview Park (corner of W. Belleview Ave. and S. Inca Dr.).
Bruce Spear is our point person. He is asking for help in marshalling the kids before the hunt and helping them enjoy a fun day.
Volunteers are needed also for set-up. Check with Bruce, but I believe he said 7:30.
