I haven't been on a bicycle in15 years, but at the District Conference over the weekend, Pat McGuckin said, here, put this shirt on, and then he produced the helmet. I'm a good sport, so, voila: Patty promoting the Woohoomanity Bike Ride, Sept. 24. It's a Rotary ride affiliated with the Denver Century Ride. Some clubs have created fund-raising around it. We'll think about it, but I won't be the one on the bike!
This was our exhibit in the House of Friendship at District Conference. We showed off our accomplishments, and I got to visit with other clubs about theirs, including fund-raising ideas, which we need.
A very nice feature of every District Conference is a Remembrance of Rotarians who died in the last Rotary year. David Lee, an Honorary Member of our club, was recognized.

This week's meeting will be Extra Special. We have invited our four scholarship winners to lunch, along with family members, if they are able to attend.
Scholarships are our biggest service opportunity. This year we have given the Charles Buchler Scholarship for the first time -- $10,000 made possible by his bequest. We also gave three $2,500 scholarships, higher value than in years past.
So be there Wednesday! Meet these amazing students chosen by our Scholarship Committee.
And thank the Scholarship Committee for their dedication and hard work.
Next week will be very different. We will be meeting jointly with the DTC Rotary Club on TUESDAYat St. Gabriel the Archangel Episcopal Church. NO MEETING ON WEDNESDAY.
It's important for us to have a good turnout for this joint meeting. We believe we have great opportunity for working together. I will send an RSVP later in the week. Please attend.
