MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT GARY
Hi Rotarians,
I hope you are well and staying safe during these challenging times. Thank you for all of your participation on our Zoom meetings. I hope you have enjoyed our speakers as much as I have.
I thought Mendhi Audlin did a good job last week and gave us some very interesting information in her “What if?" presentation.
Mendhi sent me a follow-up email including links for her book “What if?" and her website, “What If” UP, and I would be very happy to forward this information to you if you would like to find out more about her comments and work.
Mendhi is also working with the District to support RYLA and other Rotary activities, so I know we will enjoy hearing from her in the future.
For the next few weeks, our schedule includes a classification talk by Rotarian Lee Busto followed by a short presentation about a new District mental health grant by Patty Burnett on May 13; an update on Englewood School projects and the impact of the coronavirus on our schools on May 20.
On May 27th, because of the Memorial Day Holiday, the co-presidents have decided to not hold a meeting but encourage you to get together by Zoom or by phone with other members for a small group “happy hour” on your own for that evening.
In addition, for our June meetings, we will be featuring Peter and Linda Jeschofnig talking about their World Tour last year, and we will have Englewood Sgt. Reid McGrath and others talk about the new CTT project (Change the Trend project) in Englewood supporting local charitable organizations working in with homeless, food banks and coronavirus concerns in Englewood. I hope you will be able to attend each of these meetings.
Also, for Board members, we will have a Board meeting on Zoom following our regular meeting on May 20, so plan to spend an additional half hour and to forward your reports to the Board and to Josh, so they can be shared.
Thank you for all you do as Rotarians. Please feel free to invite others who might have an interest in becoming members of our Englewood Rotary Club to our upcoming Zoom meetings by notifying Josh so we can link them into the meetings.
