Hey, Rotarians,
We're meeting tomorrow, and we'll be networking with the Rotary Club of Castle Pines, whose member Tim Ostrowski is our main speaker. His club provides a huge amount of support to youth and to veterans. As we consider what projects we might next take up, Tim could be inspiration. Y'all come.
Our next happy hour is at YaYa's Euro Bistro, 8310 E. Belleview Ave., Greenwood Village. Next week, 6-8.
Leadership in action
As most of you know, our President Ed is taking a bit of a sabbatical and heading off to Europe for six months, beginning in May. Meantime, your Executive Committee is in charge. Technically, that's former presidents Josh, Bruce, Frank and me, plus Vice President Dawn and Bob Burdick (in our way of doing things, the president chooses the Exec Board). I think we should include in any decisions our incoming Trifecta of presidents, as well.
We're taking turns at running meetings, but consulting behind the scenes so all runs smoothly. If you have any concerns, please take them up with any of us.
Sign up for the District conference
We need to have a strong presence at the District Conference, folks. It's just one day, at the Arvada Center and cheaper than most years. It's $125 for a full day, 9 to 9. Or $99 for first-time attendees. There's also a $75 option for lunch or for dinner, with programs. Think about it. It's your change to "feel" Rotary -- lots of people who are like us and do good things in their communities and in the world. www.rotary5450.org
