WHOO-HOO!
Hi All,
I want to thank you for your terrific help and support with the peach sale. Through your efforts and generosity we raised over $2500 to support club charitable activities.
A special shout-out to our curb-side/delivery crew for all your help on Saturday: Patty, Bob, Bruce, Paula, Matin, Gary, Shawn, Dawn, Don!
I am still waiting to hear from one customer (Donna Dewitt-Schnell) who has not yet claimed her peaches. Please let me know if you are somehow connected to her.
Regards,
Josh
And thank you, Josh!!!
MESSAGE FROM
PREZ PATTY
At the outset of this Rotary year, I said I wanted to be Englewood-centric and Rotary-centric. Through our programs and projects, I wanted us to focus on the Englewood community and to draw us closer to the greater community of Rotary.
This week our speaker will be David Willman, the chairman of the District 5450 Rotary Foundation Committee. He's in charge of giving by clubs and individuals to TRF -- The Rotary Foundation. Within TRF there are many ways to give, which we'll hear about.
Our club has pledged to give $3,000 to the Annual Fund and $1,000 to Polio Plus. Those sums come from individual member contributions made online (rotary.org) or with your quarterly dues paid to Treasurer Don Schneider.
You might want to bring your checkbook! Because a third way is contribute tomorrow. I will have information on how each of you can move up a notch as a Paul Harris Fellow. Most of us already are PHFs, and in Rotary terminology, PHFs-plus -- meaning we have given the first $1,000 PLUS additional $1,000s.
We have the ability to match your gift with "points" -- David will explain! -- to get you to the next level.
I look forward to David's message on how this giving benefits us, and the world.
