MESSAGE FROM
PREZ PATTY

Our speaker tomorrow is Doug Cohn of the Englewood Historic Preservation Society. Bring your checkbooks, because he has a new book: "Englewood's Amazing Story."

Or buy it here: https://www.historicenglewood.com/englewoods-amazing-story/

Funny coincidence: My hairdresser, Mike, told me about it! Doug's wife is a client. Mike said, "I forgot to bring this book I wanted to give you. It's about Englewood's history." I said, "Is it by Doug Cohn?" YES! Good guess by me!

I also have scheduled two special speakers for upcoming weeks: Luis Goncalves from the DTC Club, who will speak on growing up in Mozambique. A member of that club highly recommended this presentation by Luis.

In April we'll have Eric Bertoluzzi, who is the founder and executive director of Englewood Arts.

Somehow, I didn't know about this organization until I read a story in the Englewood Herald back in December. Here's a description from englewoodarts.org:

Founded in 2002, Englewood Arts (E-Arts) is a community resource dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults through art education, performance, and partnerships — providing metro area residents, students and visiting artists the opportunity to discover, develop, and share creative talents and abilities.

Englewood Arts initiated a music performance series presenting top artists and performers from the Denver area. The series, in large part, features musicians from the Colorado Symphony Orchestra (CSO). Held in Hampden Hall, concerts have expanded in variety to include dance and various musical genres.

Performances are held in Hampden Hall in the Englewood Civic Center.

Lunch tomorrow is something new: Godfather Chicken and Salmon. Surely there's a joke in that title somewhere?

See you tomorrow.
