Our 2nd Annual Fall Harvest Wine-tasting was a huge success!
And a lot of fun!
We enjoyed tastings from One Hope wine.
President Ed and family -- here with daughter Angela -- worked hard and gave generously.
MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT ED
Hey Englewood Rotarians,
The club hosted a very successful 2nd Annual Fall Harvest Wine-tasting Friday, Sep. 21, at The Guild in downtown Englewood.
While final results are not yet in, indications are that considerable money was raised, which is earmarked to benefit all our club’s projects.
Many thanks to everyone who attended, donated food or auction items, participated in implementing the event and purchased auction offerings. This was truly a club event with broad club participation including help from non-club attendees and possible future Rotarians.
The Englewood Community Golf Cup fundraiser is coming up Sep. 28 at 8:00 AM at Broken Tee Golf Course. At last count, only two Englewood Rotary teams were registered. Please correspond with Bruce to join a team or volunteer for activities.
Frank and Vee will be seeking volunteers to assist with planning, shopping and implementing our annual holiday party and gifts project for Head Start kids in the Village for Early Childhood Education school in Littleton.
To attend the Englewood C of C Annual Service Club and Community Leaders Luncheon, RSVP to Patty. She'll have a signup sheet on Wednesday. The $20 cost will be paid by the club.

ROTARY EDUCATION:
What is Friendship Exchange?
Friendship Exchange is an international exchange program for Rotary members and friends that allows participants to take turns hosting one another in their homes and clubs.
Participants may travel as individuals, couples, families, or groups, and may be Rotary members or not.
Benefits of an exchange
Broaden international understanding
Explore a profession or job in a different context
Build enduring friendships
Establish a foundation for peace and service
Gain opportunities for active project involvement and support
Learn about a region’s people, food, languages, customs, and history
Find partners for grants
Choose a destination
Explore our Exchange Finder Map to view current exchange locations and the districts that serve them. Connect with the district’s Rotary Friendship Exchange chair for help finding potential international hosts and planning your itinerary.
Define your purpose
Friendship exchanges are organized around at least one of three themes: culture, service, and vocation.
Fund your exchange
All exchanges are paid for by the participants or their districts. Hosts are not expected to assume a significant financial burden. Club or district funds may be available to offset the costs of exchanges that have a vocational emphasis.
Share your story
After your trip, submit a report to your district, as well as to rotary.service@rotary.org. It’s your chance to tell us about your experience, make suggestions, and share what you learned.
