Hi, Rotarians,
In spite of all the difficult issues that our community and country are facing at this time, I hope you had an opportunity to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend and some of our wonderful weather that we have had in the Denver area.
This week, we will have the pleasure of listening about the world tour that our members Peter and Linda Jeschofnig recently took as they describe both Rotary and non Rotary events that I know we are excited to learn about.
I hope you will join us on zoom for their presentation, which will begin very soon after our meeting starts at 1:05 on this Wednesday, June 3.
I am also asking for a short Board meeting, following their presentation, to discuss and finalize plans for our upcoming picnic or zoom event that we had planned for the last week of June, but because of the coronavirus will most likely be canceled. Once the Board has made a decision about this event, we will let you know through the newsletter or in an email.
In addition, we have received guidelines from the District for clubs interested in returning to in-person meetings, which are quite extensive, and I will let you know what the District has said.
Finally, we have submitted our goals for the upcoming year to the District, including Paul Harris giving and membership, and if we have time I will review these goals at the meeting, or I will send them to you in our next week’s President’s newsletter.
I hope you are well, and I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday at 1 p.m. on zoom. -- Gary
