We've now set FOUR regular meetings for October -- Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23 -- because we think we'll need to get together and rally for our Englewood Rotary Holiday Fair. We need your donations, we need your volunteer time, we need your energy for this unique fund-raiser.
We will do a Happy Hour on Oct. 30. Location TBA.
Then on Nov. 6, we will meet for lunch at The Guild so we can look at the layout for the event. You also can bring your donated items to this meeting.
Tomorrow, please bring information on what you plan to donate. It's important that we have a complete list of what we'll be selling and auctioning.
The plan is to have three options for selling:
Tables marked for $5, $10 and $20; silent auction items beginning at $25, and we'll be selling the highest priced items on eBay, where we think we'll get a broader audience.
Get-well wishes to Gary
Gary had knee replacement surgery, and he says it went well. Speedy recovery, Gary!
And to Natalie Dow
Natalie, daughter of Mike and Katherine, injured her leg playing RUGBY!!, and Mike has flown to Washington, D.C., to see about her. Our club sponsored Natalie at RYLA and in her exchange year in Peru. She's now in college.
We'll induct Jake
We'll put the pin on Jake Sinderman tomorrow. We're thrilled he has chosen to join us.
We have two more candidates in the wings -- Shawn Lewis and Lee Busto.
