Family: Wife (Patty); Son (Dave); Daughter-in-Law (Rachel); Grandchildren (Evelyn, Theo).

Grew up in. . . A lot of places. Florida; high school in suburban St. Louis (still a Cardinals fan), a farm in Southeastern Missouri.

Roles in Rotary: Rotary Club of Englewood (board member, program chair); Rotary Club of Naples, Fla.

Most recent book: The Columnist: Leaks, Lies and Libel in Drew Pearson’s Washington (Daniel A. Ritchie); The Gifts of Imperfection (Brene Brown)

Favorite music: All over the place: Brandenburg Concertos No. 3 and No. 2 (Bach); Symphonies 5 and 9 (Beethoven); Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Mozart); anything by the Beach Boys, Beatles, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Peter, Paul & Mary.

Favorite movie: All the President’s Men; The Front Page (all versions, especially the Jack Lemmon-Walter Matthau version).

Favorite vacation: National parks, especially Rocky Mountain, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce Canyon.

Favorite food: Steak (filet) and baked potatoes with broccoli and sourdough bread.

Quotation to live by: “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” (Soren Kierkegaard)

Best advice I ever got: Work hard, play hard, take credit for what you do (good and bad) but never take credit for something good that someone else does. And, above all, read, read, read – stay abreast of what’s happening around you.

I’m a big fan of. . . Nice people. And many sports teams: Florida Atlantic Owls, Air Force Falcons, Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, Denver Nuggets. And of the DCPA, Helen Hand Theater (at Lowry) and more.

The other thing you should know about me is . . . I love to hear people talk about their travels and life experiences. Much more can be learned by listening (and viewing pictures) than by talking.
