Hi, Fellow Rotarians,
I wish you the best and hope that you had an enjoyable Easter or Passover.
On Wednesday, we would enjoy any comments or “Happy Bucks’” about your weekend at the start of our meeting.Thank you also for your positive comments and ideas about our Zoom meetings. It is nice to see that our Club is meeting the challenges of this new technology, as we continue to try to keep our Club together during this difficult time.
In that light, Dianne and I were recently walking in South Englewood, and I was very impressed with one of our residents, who had just sewn a series of masks and was giving them to any passerby who wanted one. The masks are very well made and she was very generous. This is another example of how we are all coming together, and I thought you would enjoy the picture.
I’m looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday and hearing updates from a few Rotarians regarding projects that we are involved in.
I also believe you will enjoy listening to our speaker, Jim Rohrer. Jim is a 30-year veteran and retired officer of Sears. As he puts it, perhaps his experience working for an organization which outlived its vision, made him the perfect candidate to become our District’s Vision Chair. He facilitated a visioning for our club.
Jim is a past president and charter member of the Mountain Foothills Rotary in Evergreen. He has served as PETS Facilitator for the last three years. Today he will advance his vision for America after Coronavirus.
Our Zoom meeting begins at 1 p.m. Josh sent an email earlier with links.
For those who haven’t been able to join us, we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday. -- Gary
