Message from
President Susan
Good things continue to bless the Englewood Rotary club, and as our speaker last week noted, there’s reason for far more optimism than pessimism in the world.
Enjoy lunch, enhance friendships, and share in the conversation. Then you can head into the rest of your week with renewed enthusiasm and purpose.
Remember to bring your King Soopers card to our club meeting next week so we can register it for King Soopers rewards (see Patty's note below).
Thanks for your attendance and support, we couldn’t do it without you! Susan
Heads up, folks!
Apologies for this late-breaking newsletter. I've had company.
I'm saying "heads up," because our next two meetings will be a little out of the ordinary. Today Gary will brief us on developments from the District's Mid-Year Presidents Meeting.
A headline out of that (spoiler alert) is we need to name a president for the Rotary year that starts July 1. We need a volunteer, or volunteers to share the job.
Also today, I'll have a fun exercise called "Table Talk," where each of you takes part.
Then next week part of the program will be about our Amazon Smile and King Soopers rewards programs. Josh, Vee and I will be presenting, and Josh and I will bring laptops to help interested members get signed up.
Off the top of my head this morning, I can't remember the percentages, but our Englewood Rotary Foundation receives money from our members' and friends' and family's use of these programs. They're no-brainer fund-raisers.
If your spouse is the primary King Soopers shopper, please bring his/her rewards card so we can link it to the Foundation. I'll remind you.
All for now! See you at lunch, Patty
