WOW!
And congratulations, Shawn
Our member Shawn Lewis is Colorado's City Manager of the Year!
Gary Sears passed along this news, explaining that this happened last week at the annual meeting of Colorado City and County Management Association, part of international association. Here it is comprised of Colorado city/county managers, assistants, state officials and others.
Mucho prestigious award, Shawn!!! Congratulations! We're rightly proud!

This week's speaker is Eric Bertoluzzi, Executive Director of Englewood Arts. He's been on my Gotta Get Him List for awhile, because a few months ago I was shocked to grasp that there was an Englewood arts group I had never heard of.
Englewood Arts, I have since learned, is a fabulous organization, like us, doing good things in our community. Come to lunch and hear all about it.
FYI, Linda Spear is taking The Spears Visit Antarctica Show to DTC Rotary this week. I think it's a great way for that club to get to know us and appreciate our potential for working together. I'll introduce Linda.
In other news. . . Happy Hour will be at Gallo Italian Supper Club and Bakery next week. This is a family-owned restaurant that opened just as the pandemic hit. Yet they've survived. ("We're Sicilian. We don't give up.")
Please sign up at the meeting, or if you're not present, zap me a RSVP because I need a firm number for the reservation. paburnett@aol.com
I won't be at this week's meeting -- a conflict. But Don will be your emcee. Thank you, Don.
And for those of you who have asked: I'm taking my head to a "concussion clinic" on Friday. Who knew? Apparently, I need some brain therapy. I'm optimistic and looking forward to feeling better. Patty
