Cruisin' into a new year!
Rotarians, June is upon us. We are about to launch into a grand experiment in which three of our talented leaders will become co-presidents for the Rotary year 2019-20. We have a New Presidents Party on June 26. As the Beach Boys said: Fun, fun, fun! ( I think that ended: 'til Daddy takes the T-bird away. My daddy had a T-bird. . . . )
Tomorrow we have a special speaker (see right), Dan Poremba, who can tell us all about what's happening in Englewood. Our own member, Gary Sears, as city manager was instrumental in redeveloping Cinderella City and the light rail transit hub. So now we get to hear "what's next."
If you've driven around Englewood lately, you have noticed many upscale apartments going in, teeny houses getting "flipped" for young family buyers, and new establishments along Broadway. Dan can fill us in on some of that, but also the Big Picture for Englewood's near future.
