Rotarians, Happy 3rd of July! I hope your Fourth will be even better.
It's the start of a new Rotary year, and I am very excited about how our club will grow and do great things in our 80th year of serving Englewood, and beyond.
I want to call your attention to our unusual schedule in July. We are not meeting this week. It's just one of those weeks around a holiday when we skip our regular meeting in anticipation of low attendance and to save a little money.
Next week, July 12, we have an unusual speaker -- Peter Donello, who describes himself as a mental and inspirational speaker. This is one of those special opportunities for us to bring guests. Aaaaand, it's officially Rotary Bring A Friend Month. So think about that, please. The District has prizes for clubs that bring a lot of guests who love us so much they join!
We will have a board meeting afterward -- yes, on the second Wednesday, July 12, and not the usual third -- because we will be doing Rotary Rotates on July 19. We're going to CU South Denver. Did you know there is such a thing? CU took over the Wildlife Experience on Lincoln in Parker.
So we'll have boxed lunches, hear a presentation and then tour the exhibits. Bob and I went several months ago. It's fascinating. Needless to say, we'll have a sign-up next week.
Mark those calendars! -- Patty
