Pledges for our 2018
military project
From our Incoming Co-President Ed
Earlier in the year, you may have made a pledge to contribute funds to our club's 2018 military project. It is now time to convert those pledges to payments.
Please make checks to Englewood Rotary Foundation, earmark it "Military Project," and give checks to Englewood Foundation President Josh Staller or Treasurer Paula Shafer at the meeting on Wednesday.
If you will not be attending the meeting, please mail check to Englewood Rotary, Box 3, Englewood 80151.
I am preparing the 2018 District Grant Request, coordinating with other clubs, and need to consolidate the funds. Thank you for your cooperation.
Thanks, Ed Koerperich
Working with the Red Cross
Our speakers tomorrow will be Ashley Turner, Volunteer Services Manager for the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross and Kathy Mills from the Volunteer Services Team.
They will be talking about the many good deeds of the Red Cross in our area, but specifically pitching an opportunity for Englewood Rotary to be involved.
On Saturday, April 21, we can help other volunteers and Denver Fire, which serves Englewood, install smoke alarms, free of charge to Englewood residents.
I think this is a fabulous opportunity for us to have direct involvement with Englewood residents. I certainly can't get up on a ladder and install a smoke detector, but I can hold a ladder and bring coffee. I'll have a sign-up sheet! Let's be involved! -- Patty
