Frank is on the mend!
Hooray! Frank left Porter Hospital on Saturday afternoon and is home. The pneumonia and virus, or whatever evil combination that was, left Frank pretty weak.
He's getting some physical therapy at home to get him back in action. He won't be at Rotary this week, but maybe next.
I can tell he's better because he's talking about our new project, May 7, to let Englewood families of preschoolers know we care. We'll be doing a pizza party and delivering gift cards to those families, suggesting they use the cards for the kids' summer clothes -- a need the principal identified.
We will be needing volunteers. I'll have a sign-up sheet tomorrow.
Dinners for 8
We're scheduled for the weekend of April 27-29. I'll have a sign-up tomorrow. The deal is: We have four hosts -- Ed, Josh, Vee and Judy. They'll have a total of 8 slots for dinner, including themselves and spouses or dates. They will have variations on pot luck and will let you know individually.
This is a tradition we're bringing back through the great enthusiasm of our incoming presidents, Dawn and Ed.
Any John Fielder fans out there?
Littleton Rotary has a fund-raiser coming up, featuring acclaimed nature photographer John Fielder. Bob and I are going. We have two large Fielder prints in our home (an aspen triptych, Longs Peak waterfall).
The event is Tuesday, April 17, at Pinehurst Country Club. Info here:

We're attending the dinner that starts at 6. Happy hour is at 6:30, presentation at 7.
Our speaker shares our mission
She is Rayna Kelly, on a mission to help military families in need through the Warriors Warehouse and Redistribution Center. Volunteers serve over 1,000 service men and women every month.
Thank you, Ed, for all that networking with people like Rayna.
See you tomorrow, Patty
